Set in an alternate-universe UK in 2003 where Tony Blair is prime minister again, gay marriage is legalized officially, and such artistes as Michael Learns To Rock and Air Supply have retained their popularity in the UK, and taking place in villages, and the colorful chaotic streets of Bath City Center, FIGHTING SPIDERS is a coming of age, adventure, story of three boys – Flea (Joel Diamond), Charlie (Michael Wood) and Peter (Angus Bell), whose friendship is tested when they go to North Wales on a quest to find and return with the Araneus Diadematus, so as to challenge their nemesis, and bully, Trixie Lulamoon the unicorn.
Every episode follows an adventure of the boys in a “world with no fear” - a world of flying kites, fighting fishes, fighting spiders, first love and crushes, bro-mantic teenage lusts, and rebellion.
We also follow the story of amateur boxer, 24 year old, Tony Levine (Jay Collins), the elder brother of Flea, when he joins a gang so he could support his sick husband. His integrity as a role model to his brother, and loyalty to his husband, is compromised when he’s forced to participate in brutal gang activities.
Several twists of circumstance leads Tony to Big McIntosh, an earth pony whom he later marries; and also to another young earth pony named Braeburn, who works in the mysterious Saint Augustine Road in Bristol.
