Bold, rebellious, impetuous, cocky, amongst the three boys who hear the clarion call to adventure, James Lawrence "Flea" Levine hears it the loudest and the clearest.

Flea, 20, lives in a village with his older brother and brother-in-law. He doesn't come from a rich family, but he doesn't feel poor because his older brother and brother-in-law always look out for him. He lives in a close-knit family. He hero worships Tony, his older brother, and is just as loyal to Will, his much-older brother-in-law; but like all boys, Flea is naughty and plays truant. He's an expert in catching spiders and fighting fishes. He's good with his hands - he once constructed a wooden rifle catapult all by himself. He's very sure of himself to the extent of being foolhardy at times - when he goes trekking in an unfamiliar jungle, he never refers to maps. His spiders and fighting fishes are always the best, because he caught them. He never backs down from a fight. Someone just has to call him coward or chicken, and he jumps in with fists ready, and it doesn‘t matter if its five to one, Flea will find a way to kick ass. Also, when he sets his mind on an objective, he is steely in his determination to see it through. He is the one who leads the boys on the quest to look for the King of Spiders - the Araneus Diadematus.

As part of our lookout for new fresh faces and talent for the cast, ABC-ZNN posted an ad on a few online sites. Joel was one of the young men who responded to the online casting call. Joel first caught our attention with his good look. We did not know if he could act but we knew that the look was right - handsome, cheeky, and rebellious, yet likeable. So we were hoping that he would pull it off. Unfortunately, the first audition did not turn out too well. He was raw and appeared nervous (Couldn't fault him as this was his first!). In his second audition, we gave him some guidance and he on his own did some homework and practice. Did we mention that he was serious about acting and wanting a chance for this role? The second audition proved to be better and he was eventually selected.
