Trixie seethes with rage from her previous humiliation along Saint Augustine Road. She makes life absolutely hellish for Charlie. Flea learns that Will is getting sicker. He wants to leave for North Wales earlier. Peter gets a letter from his mother, and thinks that finally his mother might be getting better. However, more bad news arrives about his mother. Charlie and Peter are disillusioned and want to call of their trip, and Flea is furious at his friends for mailing out on him.
Will the three boys catch the Araneus Diadematus? Is it the end of their friendship?
Big McIntosh goes out with Doctor Whooves, whom Applejack introduces to him. The doctor, however, has a dark secret.
